About the Program
The Latino Social Work Coalition CORE SCHOLARS Program caters specifically to 2nd or 3rd year MSW bilingual and Latino/x/e Students facing significant financial constraints in the vibrant landscape of New York City. We invite passionate social work students interested in serving low-income and underserved communities to seize this opportunity. This initiative is meticulously crafted to offer not just financial scholarships but also tailored guidance, fostering professional growth, and fostering valuable networking connections.

Spanning nine months, from September to May, this program delivers an immersive experience of mentorship and support. Participants will gain invaluable skills essential for navigating the professional landscape post-graduation, equipping them to make a lasting impact in their chosen communities. Our esteemed mentors, seasoned experts in the field, will impart fresh perspectives and proven strategies, empowering scholars to create meaningful and sustainable change within their communities.

Scholarship recipients receive one (1) scholarship totaling between $500 - $1500 for the 2024-2025 school year.
MENTORSHIP
CURRICULUM
Monthly sessions with experts in the field from September 2024 to May 2025, including workshops, featured speakers, and intentional group discussion
